#SiegeofLadysmith2020 – Children stay home from school due to protest action in Ladysmith

Many children simply did not pitch up at school, as parents were concerned for their safety

A few schools in Ladysmith told parents to pick up their children this morning (March 9) after protesters starting blocking roads again today.

Other schools advised parents to keep their children at home for safety reasons. Many children simply did not rock up for school, as parents were concerned for their safety.

Protea Drive, roads in Ezakheni and a few roads in Roosboom are currently blocked with boulders, stones and branches, making it impossible for motorists to pass through.

Motorists are advised to be cautious.

Police and Public Safety officers are currently monitoring the affected areas.
