#SiegeofLadysmith2020 – Officers begin to open Ladysmith roads

The man-made barricades used by protesters to block roads have been removed in most areas

Police and Public Safety have begun clearing roads in and around Ladysmith.

Police are currently stationed at hot-spots around town to monitor the situation.

The roads that are currently open are: the N11 Newcastle road, Helpmekaar up to Pieters, Protea up to Willow Drive, Pieters to Colenso, Roosboom R103, Bergville road, Harrismith road and Peacetown.

Roads that are still blocked are: Protea Drive from Willow Drive to Pieters, Helpmekaar from Pieters intersection, Ezakheni and St Chad’s.
