#SiegeofLadysmith2020 – Warning: R103 closed near Watersmeet turn-off
Many people have been walking into town to get to work
The R103 is currently closed at the Watersmeet turn-off.
The roadway has been blocked with rocks and even entire trees that were cut down by protesters.
Some vehicles have tried to manoeuvre through the rocks and branches to get past, but most decided it was better to turn around and head back into Ladysmith.
Many people have been seen walking into town as they try to get to work, as no taxis or buses are running.
A Ford Bantam bakkie was found abandoned on the R103 after it crashed into rocks that were scattered all over the roadway.

Motorists are advised to take caution when travelling in and around town, as the situation could change at any moment.
