#SiegeofLadysmith2020 – Water is turned back on

However, it will take a long time to see water flowing from their taps...

It appears that a deal has been struck between uThukela District Municipality and the protesters, allowing the water to be turned back on.

We can confirm that a meeting was held between uThukela Mayor Siphiwe Mazibuku and members of the Ubumbano Lokuthula Organisation.

While we are not privy to the deal that has been struck between the two organisations, we can confirm that the mayor and officials have visited the plant.

Water is being pumped as we speak. However, it will take a long time before residents see water running from their taps.

A full update, later, will be released, as soon as we know more.
