The first winner, Kelane Mazibuko had the opportunity to enter the ‘money blower’ last Saturday, while shoppers gathered to watch her Catch Some Cash.

Emcee of the event, the Newcastle Advertiser’s Jermaine Sebastian encouraged shoppers to cheer the winners on as the excitement built up. Kelane managed to grab 1 800 Newcastle Mall Bucks, each Buck resembled R100.

The second winner was Niran Manisunker, who unfortunately could not make it on the day and chose his son-in-law, Vrishen Mathurapersaad as a proxy. Vrishen grabbed 1 900 Newcastle Mall Bucks.

The third winner could not be reached on the day.

The competition will continue until March 25 and winners will be contacted the day after, (March 26) ahead of the draw on March 28.

This is how you can enter:

  • Shoppers must produce a till slip with a minimum spend of R250, or combined slips with a minimum spend of R250 per entry for the day.
  • In celebration of the Newcastle Mall’s eighth birthday, the Mall will give away an additional R8 000 on March 28.
  • Shoppers who spend and enter on March 28, from the morning until the draw time at 1pm, will be entered into a separate draw to win R1 000 instant cash in the blower.
  • Shoppers must be present at the draw time in order to win the prize.
