‘All the world’s a stage’ for Grade 12 learners at VHS

One may wonder how the learners are able to find time to still take part in the extramural activities at school.

As William Shakespeare famously said: “All the world’s a stage.”
The VHS Grade 12s ventured to Dundee to see their set drama, Hamlet, played out on the stage.
The academia for the week did not cease with the play, as there were also six learners who tested their knowledge with the national De Beers English Olympiad.
One may wonder how the learners are able to find time to still take part in the extramural activities at school.
The extramurals for the week kicked off on Wednesday with Amajuba traveling to Vryheid, bringing along its netball, hockey and rugby sides. The first and second hockey boys left for St Dominics on Friday to take part in the Spar Hockey Challenge.
The second team placed sixth overall and the first team fifth.
All the rugby boys travelled to Michaelhouse on Saturday, to measure themselves against stronger opposition.
The experience gained will most definitely benefit VHS sides for the rest of the season.
Die gholf-liga het die week afgeskop in Dundee.
Baie geluk aan L. Erasmus wat tweede in Noord KwaZulu-Natal geëindig het.
Die volgende liga wedstryd sal op Vryheid plaasvind.
Week’s program:
March 14 – Rugby versus Kingsway (Kingsmead); hockey at Eshowe Festival
