A Qomkufa security guard was assaulted by two unknown men, after he responded to a case of theft.
The guard received information from his manager that a fellow security guard had been robbed of his firearm in Sibongile. According to the information he had received, the men were said to still be in the Khanyile Street area.
When the guard arrived there however, he was attacked and beaten.
The matter is now under investigation by relevant authorities.
