Municipal services available during the enforced lockdown

Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality has heeded the president's call for a lockdown until April 16 and advises the public to use the WhatsApp number 072-292-3874 in cases of emergency

Essential municipal services will be available to locals during the 21-day lockdown.

Municipal Manager Patrick Mkhize has reassured residents that services pertaining to electricity, fire, waste management, traffic and customer queries will be functioning as usual.

He said that Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality has heeded the president’s call for a lockdown until April 16 and advises the public to use the WhatsApp number 072-292-3874 in cases of emergency.

All payments and purchases of electricity must be done via private vendors.

“We will also make sure that services are not interrupted at all until the lockdown call is lifted,” said Mr Mkhize.
