Covid-19 education campaign goes door-to-door in Utrecht

Cllr Mhlungu encouraged residents to take the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Municipalities in the district are making sure communities are armed with knowledge, to fight off Covid-19 infection.

Mayor of Emadlangeni (Utrecht), Lindile Mhlungu conducted a vital door-to-door campaign in rural parts of Utrecht on April 8 (Wednesday), and also stopped in Emxhakeni, the area hit by a tornado last November.

The freak wind phenomenon left many buildings in ruin and families in a state of shock.

She also called on residents to stay at home during the lockdown and informed residents about mass screenings, which are soon to be rolled out in the area by the Department of Health.
