Mrs Anna Susanna Fouche celebrated her 104th birthday in style on Wednesday (April 8) in Ladysmith.
Mrs Fouche usually celebrates her birthday with family and close friends, but this could not be done this year due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
Wendi Aberson, who is Mrs Fouche’s neighbour, says the “birthday girl” was sad that she couldn’t celebrate with her family and loved ones.
This is where Wendi and Mr Iqbal Khan jumped into action and with the help of their community WhatsApp group, they planned a birthday surprise for Mrs Fouche.
