Municipality to issue temporary business permits for essential businesses

Businesses need to make sure they have the correct documentation

Alfred Duma Local Municipality is inviting all companies registered with CIPC (Companies & Intellectual Property Commission) as essential services to apply for municipal permits today (April 18) from 9am to 1pm and on Monday (April 20) from 9am to 3pm at the Town Hall. No fees or payments for permits will be charged.

You will need to produce  the following:

1) Proof of address and your company logo.

2) ID copy.

3) Your CIPC certificate with correct physical address.

4) Company registration documents or proof of SARS clearance.

The municipality has noted fake and premature messages being circulated with regards to this on social media, which could mislead business owners and associations.

The municipality stresses that the Office of the Municipal Manager remains the custodian of all administrative  processes and procedures guided by the Communications Protocols on any matters of municipal publications and notices.
