Mayor Madlala revealed that he is unwell but that his sick leave ended on April 30

Alfred Duma Local Municipality Mayor Vincent Madlala says he is ready to resume his post after taking two months’ sick leave, starting in March.

In an exclusive interview with the Ladysmith Gazette, Mayor Madlala revealed that he is unwell but that his sick leave ended on April 30.

“I was not well at the beginning of the year. As a result, I was admitted to hospital. I was discharged on March 25 and procured a sick note stating that I should be at home from March 11 to April 30,” explained the mayor.

He confirmed that he has resumed his post as mayor of Alfred Duma Municipality.
