On chronic medication?
When patients go to their respective clinics or hospital, they should indicate which pick-up will be convenient for them in order to be able to collect their medication using a card.
Vryheid District Hospital CEO Fikile Ngema has encouraged all patients on chronic medication to make use of the external pick-up points for their medication in order to minimise exposure to Covid-19 and also avoid long queues at health facilities.
These include medication for diabetes, hypertension, psychosis and ARVs.
She said that when patients go to their respective clinics or hospital, they should indicate which pick-up will be convenient for them in order to be able to collect their medication using a card. The collection date will be given to them by their healthcare professionals.
