As a result, the facility was closed on July 6.

“The closure is a safety protocol to allow for the process of sanitization and decontamination to take place, together with the testing of the staff,” said municipal manager Elphas Dladla.

Traffic officers providing road safety will be fully functional.

“The municipality and the Health Department are working together for contact tracing. The public will be notified once the facility has been decontaminated and the date of re-opening the facility and services,” added Mr Dladla.
