N11 blocked by trucks as national shutdown gets underway

The N11, near the Dannhauser/Chelmsford turn off, is currently blocked by two trucks.

The blockade is believed to be part of the National Truck Shutdown, as drivers and owners protest the sporadic attacks on trucks on various national roads across all provinces.

They’re also protesting the calls made for the disruption of traffic and attacks on local trucks driven by foreign nationals. It is understood that the drivers of the trucks have fled with the keys.

SAPS and RTI officials are currently on scene. Traffic is being diverted to Koppie Alleen via Dannhauser.
