This year, CanSA will be hosting a ‘virtual’ Remembrance Walk on July 18 also known as Mandela Day.

“Families can walk / run in their communities anytime between 3pm and 5pm with a luminaria ceremony taking place at 6pm all over KwaZulu-Natal in the comfort of their homes. We encourage families to take pictures and videos and upload it to social media,” explained CanSA Fund Development Co-ordinator Heidi Jansen.

If you would like to participate, contact Anil Sookraj on 083-787-2277 to register.

No fee is charged and once you have registered, you will receive x5 luminaria bags and x5 candles which can be collected from Mr Sookraj or at the CANSA Pietermaritzburg office.

Donations will be accepted and can be deposited into the following bank account: Bank: ABSA – Account Holder: Cancer Association of SA (CANSA) – Account No: 40 6984 0934 – Reference: Walk / name.
