Ladysmith Town Hall closes after councillor tests positive for Covid-19
The Town Hall building will be closed until all health and safety protocols have been carried out

Ladysmith Town Hall has been temporarily closed after a municipal councillor tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19). The municipality took a decision to close the Town Hall building as of today (July 13) until all health and safety protocols have been followed in decontaminating the building.
“We urge all employees who render services at the Town Hall building not to be on duty as from July 13 to 15, but should continue working from home as required until it is safe to return to work. The public is also urged to stay away from the building,” reads a media statement released by Alfred Duma Local Municipality Communications Manager Siyabonga Maphalala.
This comes after the Lister Clarence Building was temporarily closed last week Monday (July 6) due to an Alfred Duma Local Municipality employee testing positive for Covid-19.
