Police are cracking down on drugs in the Osizweni Policing area.
During an intelligence driven operation on July 17, members from Osizweni Crime Prevention, Osizweni Reservists and the Newcastle Cluster Task Team swooped on a home in Section D, arresting one suspect for being in possession of cocaine and other drugs.
“I can confirm that 192 small parcels of drugs in a powder form and woonga was confiscated,” said Lizzy Arumugam of SAPS Newcastle Corporate Communications. “Officers also recovered a small amount of cash.”
