Spreading goodwill with Draycott residents

Residents from the surrounding area benefited from the distribution, which is part of the Covid-19 disaster response and hunger alleviation food parcel project

The Gift of the Givers Estcourt team revisited Draycott on July 28 to spread goodwill in the community.

With 100 food and detergent packs, blankets, as well as nutritious porridge, the team set up at the royal home of Inkosi Langalibalele II and were warmly welcomed by his wife, Queen Mzamose Radebe of the AmaHlubi tribe.

Residents from the surrounding area benefited from the distribution, which is part of the Covid-19 disaster response and hunger alleviation food parcel project.

Some of the 100 Draycott residents who received food and detergent packs, as well as blankets.

“While we were setting up, we handed out Woolworths instant porridge to all the people who were eagerly waiting for us at the residence. They were extremely grateful and said the porridge was their breakfast.  Queen Mzamose was grateful to the foundation for our continued support in the area, especially now during these trying times,” said Gift of the Givers Estcourt community liaison Jaaved Khan.

The residents hungrily tuck into the breakfast they received.
