Ladysmith KZN: COSATU set to march through town

A crisis of inequality, poverty and unemployment...

COSATU (Congress of South African Trade Unions) has planned a National Industrial Strike/Stay-Away today (October 7). This may see parts of the CBD blocked as protesters march from the Kandahar Avenue Grounds to the Town Hall, where they will hand over a memorandum before dispersing.

The march is expected to kick off between 9am and 10am.

In a memo widely circulated, COSATU says the strike is about ‘socio-economic issues that have further deepened the crisis of inequality, poverty and unemployment’.
