Felix is finally laid to rest
However, police refute these allegations, indicating that there was 'no foul play and the victim died of natural causes'

Rumours have been buzzing in town and spread on social media platforms / groups regarding the circumstances of Filemena Santos’ death. Better known as Felix, she was found unconscious on her porch a few weeks ago by a ‘Good Samaritan’.
She was taken to hospital, but never regained consciousness. She passed away on September 20.
Felix’s mother was allegedly murdered a few years ago in the same house.
Members of the community cleared up the property while Felix was in hospital. The property was immensely overgrown by shrubs and there were fears that it could be used as a hiding place by potential trespassers.
Unfortunately, Felix never had the opportunity to benefit from or appreciate the hard labour of her neighbours and other community members.
Since her passing, stories have done the rounds regarding the circumstances surrounding her death. Some stories state that she was raped, assaulted and kept captive in her home for a couple of days before she was found.
However, police refute these allegations, indicating that there was ‘no foul play and the victim died of natural causes’. Further investigation and reports confirm that she was not raped or assaulted.
A funeral service was held for Felix on October 6 at the St Thomas Moore Catholic Church. She was a huge part of the community and though she was reclusive, everyone knew Felix and the history behind her ‘unusual’ actions. She was a kindhearted person who never harmed anybody. She will be missed, especially by those who saw her walking to the shops on a daily basis.
