NEWCASTLE: Patient dies after ambulance crash on the N11
The ambulance crashed on the N11 just outside Newcastle.
One patient died and three others sustained moderate injuries in a crash on the N11 yesterday (November 10).
According to information posted by WATCO Emergency Medical Service, the patient, ambulance attendants and a patient escort were all travelling in the ambulance, which crashed just outside Newcastle.
“A patient that was on-board the ambulance was resuscitated on scene and declared after unsuccessful attempts to revive him. The two ambulance attendants sustained moderate injuries as well as a patient escort,” read the statement.
While the cause of the accident is not known at this stage, relevant officials are investigating.
