DUNDEE: Ackerman robbers in Court

The men were said to be all from Durban

The three men alleged to have robbed Ackermans Clothing Store on Sunday afternoon have appeared briefly in the Dundee Magistrate’s Court on charges of armed robbery and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

The three accused, agesd between 28-25 years, Ndumiso Buthelezi, Thobelane Buthelezi and Buhle Kheswa,  all from Durban, appeared before Magistrate Hodi. NJ Mapamulo of Durban  appeared for the defence and the case has been remanded to November 25 pending a bail application.

The three were arrested following a shoot out after SAPS and security officers reacted swiftly when Ackerman employees raised the alarm.
