Another officer is in ICU, fighting for his life
Santosh Ahir passed away on Saturday afternoon (January 2) after a long battle against Covid-19. At least one other police officer is in ICU, fighting for his life.
A police guard of honour paid tribute to SAPS Constable Santosh Ahir as he was taken to the Ladysmith Crematorium today (January 3).
Emergency services – including ER24 Ladysmith, InnovaMed Private Ambulance services and Sharaj – together with a local motorbike club formed part of a motorcade that led the hearse to the Ladysmith Crematorium.
With a second officer at death’s door, residents are urged to take Covid-19 regulations seriously.
