An elderly man was found dead in his home by KwaManzini community members on Wednesday, February 24. The man was lying on the floor of the house, with his hands and legs tied up with ropes. His head was covered with a black jacket.

Speaking to police spokesperson Captain Bongani Nyathi, he commented that community members notified the SAPS of their discovery.

“A 65-year-old man was found tied up in his house. The door of his room was broken and the whole house was ransacked. As of now, it is unclear if anything was stolen,” said Captain Nyathi.

A 31-year-old man who is a relative of the murder victim was arrested and taken in for questioning.
