NEWCASTLE KZN: One injured in collision on R34 Memel Road
The bakkie driver sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Another collision has been reported on the notorious R34 between Memel and Newcastle.
A motorist sustained injuries after a collision between his bakkie and a light motor vehicle yesterday, at the top end of Botha’s Pass.
According to one source, the bakkie driver was said to have been turning onto a farm road when the collision occurred, and the light motor vehicle was heading towards Newcastle.
“The occupants of the motor vehicle escaped unscathed, whereas the the driver of the bakkie sustained minor injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene.”
The exact cause of the collision remains subject to police investigation.
