ESTCOURT KZN: Suspected intoxicated driver crashes on the N3

The five occupants of a light motor vehicle were lucky to have escaped without a scratch after they were involved in a crash on the N3 near Ultra City this morning (March 7).
On scene reports indicated that the group of men were Durban-bound when the driver lost control of the car, causing it to plough through the shrubbery on the centre median before coming to a stop.
Unconfirmed reports on scene indicated that the driver was intoxicated.
After statements were taken on scene by two traffic officers, the vehicle was towed away with the driver and occupants accompanying the tow truck driver.
