MOOI RIVER KZN: Severe hailstorm sweeps through town

What started as an overcast and calm day, turned into a severe hailstorm that left the town of Mooi River blanketed in white.

Just after 1pm today (March 18), a sudden hailstorm took residents by surprise.

“It happened within a split second,” said one resident who described the storm as “scary”.

The heavy rain coupled with hail, lasted for about 30 minutes.
