The Devotee Care team members drove through the streets, beckoning people to come out and receive a hot lunch

Through late nights, early mornings, scorching sun and driving rain, the Food for Life Estcourt branch has managed to reach a milestone.

The Food for Life Estcourt teams reached another milestone with more than 8 000 meals distributed.

The members were in high spirits last Saturday afternoon as they prepared and packaged the 400 meals that bring the branch’s total to 8275 since its inception a couple of years ago.

Food for Life Estcourt volunteers Rakesh Jaychand hands over the meals to Devotee Care team member Veronica Bundipersadh for distribution.

Thanks to the continuous generosity of donors in Estcourt and across the country, the Food for Life Estcourt team has been hard at work preparing, packaging and distributing meals to locals.

Mrs Rampersad and Mrs Bundipersadh were some of the recipients of Saturday’s meal.

On Saturday, another tasty vegetarian meal was distributed by the team in Forderville.
