NEWCASTLE KZN: Osizweni drug dealer makes court appearance
Drugs recovered from the suspect's place of residence was valued at R350K.
A 41-year-old man has appeared in the Madadeni Magistrates Court for dealing in drugs.
According to information received from the Office of the Provincial Commissioner in KwaZulu-Natal, the court appearance follows an operation that was conducted on May 2 by Osizweni police officers.
“The team acted on information regarding a suspect that was in possession of drugs and proceeded to Section B in Osizweni. A search was conducted at the suspect’s residential premises,” said Captain Nqobile Gwala.
During the search, police recovered 7 740 mandrax tablets with a value of approximately R350 000.
The suspect was arrested and charged for dealing in drugs.
