Ladysmith KZN: Traffic officer crashes while pursuing a vehicle

He was injured and rushed to hospital

Two vehicles crashed on the R103 Harrismith road while a traffic officer was in pursuit of a youngster who refused to stop when ordered to do so.

It is believed that both vehicles went into a ditch and rolled at the side of the road. 

The youngster fled the scene before police and ambulance services arrived.

The traffic officer was injured and rushed to hospital by ambulance.

Police, Public Safety and towing services were on scene.

Motorists travelling on the R103 stopped to find out what had happened and see if they could help in any way.
