DUNDEE KZN: Oil spill results in police van overturning

Motorists are urged to avoid the area for now

The corner of Browning and Victoria Streets was this morning the scene of an oil spill and a crash after a coal truck appeared to break down.

Oil flowed onto the road and into a storm water drain that flows into the nearby Steenkoolspruit.

A passing police van driver lost control on the oil slick and the vehicle spun out of control and overturned. No one was injured. Motorists are advised to avoid the area. Sand is currently being used to cover the oil spill.
