"This is the biggest thing I have ever won"
Benedict Dlangalala is one of 50 lucky South Africans that have won a car in the Spar Win a Car competition.
Mr Dlangalala, who is a regular customer at Estcourt Spar, received his Hyundai Grand i10 from the store’s management and staff today.
“I am very happy. This is the biggest thing I have ever won. I would like to thank Spar,” said Mr Dlangalala.
Store co-owner Jayshree Sukai said it was heart-warming to hand over the car to a loyal customer like Mr Dlangalala.
Estcourt Spar staff made the winner feel extra special with traditional songs and dance, which drew a crowd of curious onlookers.
Mr Dlangalala is the third Estcourt shopper to win a car during the past five years
