One person sustained minor injuries in a crash last night (June 3) in Jantha Street.

The accident involved a VW Polo and a Toyota Hilux bakkie.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this stage and police are investigating the incident.

The driver of the Polo was treated on scene before being taken to hospital by emergency personnel for further medical attention.

Public Safety, police and towing services responded to the scene, and a large crowd of onlookers gathered around to see what was going on.

One lane was still open for traffic to move past slowly until the Polo was towed away.
