VRYHEID KZN: Frances joins WCC Women’s Continental team in Switzerland
Frances will be sharing her adventures on social media and through regular communication with her Absolute Motion family

It is finally time to share some big news about Vryheid Mountain Biking superstar Frances J van Rensburg. Frances made her way to Aigle in Switzerland last week, where she will be joining her new team, the World Cycling Centre Women’s Continental road team, for whom she will be riding for the remainder of the 2021 racing season. After a long and uncertain waiting period regarding travelling and Visa problems, it finally happened for Frances… and we, as the Vryheid mountain bikers, are all SO excited for her. Her journey started with Johann Wykerd and the Absolute Motion family in 2017, and she says she would not have imagined in her wildest dreams that she would have the opportunity to be part of a team like the WCC Women’s Continental team so soon already.
Frances says she needs to give a huge thank you to Ashleigh Pasio (also a great South African cyclist) for all the work she has done for her behind the scenes to make this dream possible. “Ashleigh, I hope to make you proud!” Frances also wishes to thank the KZN Department of Sport & Recreation, as well as @kzncycling for all their support. She said: “There are many more people who have played an important role in my journey up to now, and a massive thank you to you all as well.”
Frances will be sharing her adventures on social media and through regular communication with her Absolute Motion family. You can follow Frances on Instagram and Facebook, and Absolute Motion on Instagram and Facebook to be part of her journey. And lastly but most importantly… Frances wants to thank her family and close friends who have always encouraged and supported her without hesitation. “Dear God, thank you for the talents you have given me and the people you have brought alongside me. Help me to be steadfast in doing what I believe You want me to do so that I can glorify Your Wonderful name.”
