SAPS including the Public Order Policing Unit are being deployed on the R33 on the Dundee/Greytown road after protesters blocked the route.

The protest action started near the turn-off to Elandskraal. Rocks and other obstacles have been placed on the road, SAPS confirmed. It is understood that the protest is to do with ongoing service delivery issues.

Motorists are urged to use alternative routes to access Pomeroy, Msinga and Greytown.
