DUNDEE KZN: Those who received Covid-19 jabs on May 19 only need to return on June 30

One only needs to return 42 days after receiving the first dose and not 21 days, the Health Department says

Those who are over 60 and received their Covid-19 vaccination on May 19 do not have to return today to Dundee Hospital for the second dose. Dumisile Mkhonza, public relations officer at the Hospital, said correspondence had only been received after the group had been vaccinated that the waiting period now for the second dose is 42 days.

“Those who were vaccinated after May 19 were informed to return after 42 days. But we could not contact all those who were vaccinated on the day.

They should return for the second dose on June 30.” Ms Mkhonza said vaccinations for over 60s are continuing at the Hospital.
