Ladysmith KZN: Blood donation campaign for Youth Day

The SANBS encourages the youth to celebrate Youth Day by saving lives

The Ladysmith branch of the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) will be open on June 16 (Youth Day) as part of their campaign to collect more blood this winter. The SANBS is reported to be running out of stock nationally, with blood stocks currently at only three days.

The youth is encouraged to celebrate Youth Day a bit differently this year by donating blood and saving lives in the process.

People aged 16 to 75, weighing 50kg or more, and leading a healthy lifestyle are encouraged to come and donate. ”Every blood donation gives a chance of life to a patient. Please donate blood at San Marco Centre and give life this winter,” said Clinic Supervisor Zikhona Lupondo
