VRYHEID KZN: Tournament for the youth
The tournament featured players from the local community and surrounding areas like Eastmine, eMondlo and eMgobhozi. Various teams participated, such as Dynamics from eBhekuzulu, Young Stars A and B from eMondlo, and Future Girls and Queen’s Girls from eMgobhozi.

Ntokozo Russel Dlamini, who is the chairperson of sports in Ward 10 at Bhekuzulu Location and the convenor selector of netball under the AbaQulusi netball structure, hosted a youth netball tournament on Wednesday last week (June 16).
The tournament featured players from the local community and surrounding areas like Eastmine, eMondlo and eMgobhozi. Various teams participated, such as Dynamics from eBhekuzulu, Young Stars A and B from eMondlo, and Future Girls and Queen’s Girls from eMgobhozi.
In the men’s category, the Dynamics team took top honours, followed by Imvelo. Queen’s Girls was number one in the female category, followed by Young Stars in second place and Dynamics in third.
Ntokozo enthused that, “The tournament was a huge success due to the sponsorships from different individuals and organisations. Speaker Mr Khumalo from AbaQulusi Local Municipality donated funds, while Mr Nxumalo provided the music system and entertainment. Other sponsors included Mr MC Mdlalose from the KZN Department of Health MEC’s office, Syanqoba Sibiya and Mr Sandile Gumbi from ActionSA (who sponsored trophies and medals), Mr Riaan Erusmus from Stepfer Farming (who sponsored T-shirts) and the local community.
I hereby thank all the people and organisations who sponsored this tournament in their different capacities.”
