Ladysmith KZN: Netball activities suspended due to lockdown

All games have been postponed until further notice

Local netball players enjoyed the moment while it lasted on Sunday (June 27), as they had their games a few hours before President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the country was moving to an Adjusted Level 4 Lockdown. The tournament was organised by the ANC Youth League, Kalushi Mahlangu Branch, and had teams from Steadville, Acaciavale and Mkhamba competing for a R2000 Riga voucher, which was up for grabs.

The co-ordinators, Mr Bhumba Nkosi and Ms Phlisiwe Dladla, were thrilled about the success of the tournament. They stressed that their main aim is to keep the youth off the streets and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Same as all other sectors, the sport has suffered a blow due to the announcement made by the president, as all netball games have been postponed until further notice.
