NEWCASTLE KZN: Armed robbers strike at mall electronics store
Staff described being forced to lie on the floor while the armed robbers filled a bag with laptops and cell phones.
As many as five suspects, two of them armed with pistols, descended on Incredible Connection at the Newcastle Mall earlier today (November 5).
Staff described being forced to lie on the floor while the armed robbers filled a bag with laptops and cell phones. The robbers then fled the store – fortunately, none of the staff have been reported as injured.
A BOLO (be on lookout) has since been issued for the robbers’ vehicle – a white Nissan which is believed to be a stolen car.
Official comment from both Newcastle Mall management and Newcastle SAPS is being awaited.
