R22,000 worth of counterfeit money was seized by two female police officers last week.
Sergeant Kubheka and Sgt Hadebe of the Estcourt Visible Policing Unit were helping a victim of crime when the recovery was made.

The officers were taken to a premises to recover property.
“At the said premises, the vigilant officers seized an amount of R22,000 in counterfeit money,” said police spokesperson Warrant Officer Basheer Khan.
A 33-year-old was arrested and has appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court. The accused was remanded into custody until the matter resumed in court on Tuesday (March 15).
