Following the cancer diagnosis of local resident, Leon Scholtz (56), his family has turned to the community for support.
They say the cancer has wreaked havoc in Leon’s life, impacting his interests, his personality and most importantly, his profession. Leon is currently unable to work and as a result, cannot provide for his family.
In desperation, the family approached the media to tell their story.
The Scholtz family has since created a BackaBuddy account, to help them raise the funds they desperately need. Any funds raised will help keep food on the table and a roof over their heads, and to get Leon to his doctor’s appointments and treatments.
