Road safety awareness aims to curb Easter weekend collisions

As the long Easter weekend begins, hundreds of people are on the roads and this weekend has become one of the deadliest in South Africa’s calendar

A team of stakeholders converged at Midway Garage today (April 15) to heighten road safety awareness.

As the long Easter weekend begins, hundreds of people are on the roads and this weekend has become one of the deadliest in South Africa’s calendar.

The KZN Liquor Authority hosted the awareness event to sensitise drivers and passengers about the dangers of being under the influence of alcohol, the essential need for rest breaks as well as adhering and being compliant on the roads.

Visitors to Midway Garage received information packs as well as goodie bags from the stakeholders, which included the Transport and Health departments.
