Burst water pipe and no response from uThukela

The road is flooded due to the leak and people's taps are dry

A burst water pipe at the corner of De Lange Road has been pouring out clean drinking water for the last four days and has still not been repaired, despite many calls to uThukela.

Residents are up in arms with the district municipality, as the area has been without water since Wednesday (June 1). In the meantime, the road looks like a swimming pool.

It’s now weekend and angry residents are asking how they are expected to live without water.

It is believed that uThukela is aware of the issue, but it is unlikely that water is going to be restored anytime soon.

After many attempts to contact uThukela, no comment was received at the time of publishing.
