Truck collision compounded by fire and looting on the N3 near Mooi River
A triple truck collision resulted in a fire
A truck caught alight on the N3 near Mooi River earlier this evening (June 12).
It is reported that three trucks were involved in a collision, which resulted in one of the trucks erupting into flames, another rolled onto its side and another is stationary off the road.
According to a witness on scene, one slight injury has been reported.
Fire fighters put out the blaze before any further damage was caused.
Trucks that were stationary on the road became targets for looting and police were summoned to the scene.
Rocks were hurled at emergency workers on scene when attempts to disperse the looters were made.
Motorists have been advised to avoid this area.
