Wasbank and KwaPhindavele dominate schools’ tournament

According to IFDC founder Melusi Ziqubu, there was a great turnout, as the youth of Wasbank arrived in their numbers to commemorate the occasion.

The Inkululeko Freedom Drop-in Centre (IFDC) hosted a school sports tournament on Youth Day (June 16), with schools from Wasbank and surrounding areas competing against each other at the Wasbank sports ground.
According to IFDC founder Melusi Ziqubu, there was a great turnout, as the youth of Wasbank arrived in their numbers to commemorate the occasion.
Netball scores were as follows:
Wasbank Primary beat Vukufunde Primary 6-5, Hloniphani Primary won against Vukufunde Primary 7-5, KwaPhindavele Combined were victorious against Boschkloof Combined 11-1, and Wasbank lost against Hloniphani 2-3.
Wasbank Primary won the final against Vukufunde Primary.
KwaPhindavele played a tight soccer match against Wasbank Primary, where no goals were scored.
This led to a penalty shoot-out, where KwaPhindavele slotted home four of their penalty kicks. This proved to be enough to win, as Wasbank Primary was foiled by the opposing goalkeeper and only managed to net one penalty.
