Festive season sees multiple people injured in separate collisions

Emergency services responded to a series of collisions over the past week.

Multiple collisions left people several injured in the Newcastle area over the Christmas period.

The first collision occurred on December 20 after two cars were involved in a head-on on Boundary Road leaving several with light injuries.

On December 22, the Newcastle Advertiser reported on the tragic passing of four people after their vehicle overtuned and rolled on the Asiphehe (Madadeni) Road.

Two drivers were fortunate to escape serious injury after their vehicles collided on the corner of Allen Street and Victoria Road on December 23.

In another accident, 10 people sustained minor to moderate injuries after a taxi overturned on the FR35 Madadeni Road.

On December 26, paramedics treated one patient for minor injuries after an accident on the N11 towards Ladysmith.

In another incident an ambulance overturned on the R34 towards Utrecht; however, the occupants were fortunate enough to escape unscathed.

All incidents remain subject to further police investigations.
