Parkrunners already have three in the bag
Parkrunners completed their third walk/run in 2025 on Saturday, January 11, having already convened for social runs on New Year and on January 4.

The large puddles of rain and mud as a result of Friday night’s storm proved inconsequential to parkrun enthusiasts, with most manoeuvring easily around them while a few fun-loving runners cheerfully splashed right through.
Organiser of the Rooi Point Farm parkrun, Gwyneth Root, welcomes all residents to join parkrun – a free weekly event that not only gives one a psychological and physical boost but also a social one!
“It’s been proven that exercise does so much for us. Physical activity lengthens our lives,” Root urged.
She encouraged all parkrun participants to be mindful of the hot weather and come prepared with enough water to stay hydrated throughout the run, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen.
Parkrun takes place every Saturday at 8am at Rooi Point Farm.
The start is from the farm entrance across the road from Snips Bird Park. Snips offers free entry to the Bird Park to all park runners till 10am every Saturday.
