Ladysmith KZN: A shooting took place yesterday evening (Wednesday) at a local drinking establishment, the Hauser Park Sports Bar, better known as the Shute in the Egerton area.

One person was shot dead after an altercation between two customers. The shooting took place outside in the parking lot.

According to patrons, a single shot rang out ending an altercation outside the pub. Police and emergency services were called.

When police arrived, a man handed himself over to police and a firearm belonging to the man was removed from a vehicle.
